The major advantage of the Assure Pedestrian Turnstile System is that the pedestrian entrance way to the unsecure side is absolutely minimized. Only a rectangle portal of 710mm wide x 2100mm is exposed within the fence line, so the fabric of the fencing flows around and above the entrance portal. This design means that the robust turnstile cage is installed entirely upon the secure side of the fence. So, unlike many contemporary turnstile designs, there are absolutely no toe hold or exposed vertical wings that can be climbed upon.
Each turnstile system when enabled by suitable access control offers full bi-directional pedestrian travel. Pedestrian traffic frequencies of 10 to 15 per minute are fully achievable. Of course, the ultimate timing of pedestrian traffic will depend upon the type of access control devices fitted, the position of the readers to be used, and their inherent operational design efficiency.
To satisfy peak traffic flows, additional turnstile units installed alongside should be considered. Further, and with the addition of a pedestrian swing gate, an effective service entry/exit gate will cater for those bulkier items. It’s also a reliable option that will cater for your wheelchair and access equity responsibilities. The pedestrian swing gate may also be externally automated for enhanced, hands free usability, convenience, and security.
While full height security turnstile is commonly used along perimeter fence lines, they can be modified and installed within your warehouse and/or administrative building infrastructure.
